CIF procedures are the safest for the buyer. The guarantees are total, since no payment is made until the product is at the destination port and the quality and quantity are certified before closing the transaction.

The capacity of the destination ports must also be taken into account, as the unloading possibilities do not always meet the buyer's requirements.
FOB procedures are fast and safe.
If you have a contract with a tank farm, it is very simple and completely safe.
If you do not have TSA/TSR, then you will have to extend the refinery tanks, with the additional cost that this represents.
If you prefer to transfer the product directly to your ship, you must take into account that you will also have to have tanks for product verification and payment, with maximum guarantees for all parties.
For a ship-to-ship transfer, the procedure must be reviewed in great detail, since it requires certain conditions to guarantee the operation and to ensure that no liability arises for the parties.
The requested guarantees, both economic and civil liability, are non-negotiable.
Solid products have specific transport characteristics and purchasing procedures, since they are shipped in containers and big bags.
These products must be offered after the buyer sends their technical specifications, since these are adaptable by the refinery.
